Release notes
What’s new.
Everything below is live on the public site. Dates are when the work landed, not a promise of what comes next.
-
Latest
- About says who builds JustBAU and where the company sits. Contact in the footer opens the same form as Support.
-
- The Discover hero on a phone is the pitch and professions again — Search lives in the bar at the bottom.
-
- Seed / example listings no longer show in Discover, Search, or Rising Founders. The Rising row has a “Get featured here” card if you want that spot.
- Profession filters on Add a listing put salon and beauty work under Creative, home inspectors under Trades, and event planners under Strategy.
- Long words on a listing wrap instead of running off the page.
- Turning on “Show me on this listing” warns you when your Founder profile still needs a photo and the required answers — and seekers won’t see your Founder photo and name, or the “On JustBAU since” stamp, until that is done.
- Your Founder answers now need at least 200 characters between them before Rising Founders and search count the profile as ready.
- Search result cards stay one column a little longer, then two, and only go three-wide on very wide screens.
- Draft listings get a warning note under Not live yet — no Finish button, since it can cover more than one.
- On your dashboard, listings that are not live yet sit above the live ones, with the “not public yet” note in that group — not across the top of the page.
- Search no longer sticks on Searching… after you open it, and a single result card fills the row on a phone or tablet instead of a skinny middle column.
- Sign up can take an optional photo of you — your face or an avatar, not a business logo. The listing is where the business lives.
- Adding a listing asks whether you sell a service or products. JustBAU lists services; product shops get an honest no for now, and you can keep going if you also do a service. Profession search ranks closer matches first.
- Not live on a listing jumps to what you still need, or to the handle field when you are ready. It is not a switch. The location tab shows what seekers will see, not a control.
- Your dashboard now has View page on live listings, and a nudge when one is not public yet. Search on the homepage works on a phone again.
- JustBAU is on X now. The site footer and emails link to it, next to Instagram, Threads, and Facebook.
-
- Add your business from Pricing, Join, and the rest of the public pages now opens Sign up — not a Sign in screen with no account.
- The footer now links out to JustBAU on Instagram, Threads, and Facebook, and to Onitsoga Labs on X and YouTube.
-
- If a listing of yours is taken down, or your account is put on hold or turned back on, you now get an email that says what happened and why. No more listings quietly disappearing.
- Your founder profile asks about you now — where you came from, what you do when you are not working, what you are into — instead of one blank box that kept filling up with business copy. Anything you had already written is still there, under “Anything else”.
- You can pick the languages you speak, and they show on your profile.
- Your founder photo is one you choose. We no longer copy a picture in for you when you sign up, and any we had copied in before has been removed. Profiles without a photo show a silhouette until you upload one.
- Public founder profiles were rebuilt, and they read properly when someone finds you through a search.
- BAU cards were rebuilt. One layout on every screen instead of two, with the trade mark, your colors, and your logo readable at a glance on a phone.
- Sliding rows of listings no longer catch your finger. Swiping up and down scrolls the page, and the faded edges are gone where a row already runs the full width of the screen.
- Onboarding, the edit pages, search, and profile headings all share the same buttons, fields, and headings.
- A city is spelled the same way everywhere. Somewhere pinned as Sunrise reads “Sunrise, Florida” on every listing, rather than “Sunrise, FL” on one and the full name on the next.
-
- Profiles by profession got rebuilt. Every profession page says what it is for, and the index lists all of them in one place.
- More professions to pick from: roofers, appliance repair, legal, home inspectors, translators, and ceremony work.
- Pricing, the footer, and the type across the site were redesigned. Small text is bigger and easier to read.
- Your pitch and bio now need at least 100 characters, and contact details belong in your Contact Methods rather than the write-up.
- Founder profiles without a photo or a bio stay out of Rising Founders.
-
- Pricing is on the site. Free to start, no credit card. What you get vs what it costs.
- Join says the deal: no marketplace, how it works, and a live listing count from the database.
-
- Live listings need a US city pin or selected US states, plus how you meet. Pin-less worldwide is out.
- Discover can search nearby from your area.
